Museums of Washington DC
One of the most popular attractions of Washington DC are the world famous museums. Whether you are an art lover or a science enthusiast, you are sure to find a museum that will capture your attention and keep you entertained for hours on end. Some of the most visited museums in Washington DC are: the National Gallery of Art for contemporary or historical art; the Smithsonian Institute which is the world's largest museum and is made up of 15 smaller museums; the National Museum of Natural History; the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum; the National Air and Space Museum; the Smithsonian American Art Museum and many others.

War and Historical Figures Memorials

Other popular destinations are the Library of Congress, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, the Washington Monument, the United States Botanic Garden, the Capitol Steps and then most people choose to head to the National Mall to frequent a large variety of stores of all specialties and wind down in the wide scenic areas of tree lined gardens, fountains and monuments.
